Hatz Vakesher: Building a Future for Every Child

At Hatz Vakesher, children with special needs find more than care — they find hope, encouragement, and a place to grow. Every day, dedicated staff and volunteers nurture their potential, helping each child build skills, confidence, and a brighter future.

Since 2005, the Hatz Vakesher Center in Kochav Yair, thanks to Shuva Global’s support, has been a space of freedom for children and young people with special needs. Because of your love, we have been able to: renovate and expand the center's facilities. Build an outdoor therapeutic area with specially padded fall surfaces. Install air conditioning. Provide nutritious meals. Finance a fully equipped musical therapy room. Support clubs in life skills, and social integration programs.

Dr. Shay Attias visited the facility and he shares: “When I was with the children, I saw flashes of unspoiled joy in their eyes and heard parents whisper through tears: “You didn't just give security to our children, you gave them a future.””

Our next dream is to be able to: Expand with housing facilities for young adults with special needs. Expand the therapeutic offer to ensure independence and dignity. Renew the outdoor playgrounds and install new safety equipment in the center.
